A word from the president
Dear Jung’s friends,
We are happy to announce the realization of a dream: the launch of Self - Revista do Instituto Junguiano de São Paulo, which hopes to count not only on the members and candidates of this institution, but of all who aspire to write articles on the Jungian praxis, research and experiences in the field of the psychology founded by Jung and continued by his followers.
The idea is to create a vehicle that, respecting ethical standards, contribute to the dissemination and democratization of access to the knowledge produced in the context of the analytical psychology and to the promotion of the Jungian thought.
The journal will be open to the wide spectrum of experiences and theoretical reflections addressing the reality of soul. May it be an encouragement to new thoughts and considerations about the individual and collective soul, dealing with its phenomena, with the depth, elegance and consideration that it deserves.
May it offer a democratic and gathering place to make room for new inspirations and aspirations, in a phenomenological perspective, generating new perspectives, observations, analyses and thoughts. All this within a comprehensive vision of the psyche under the various angles and currents circulating throughout the analytical psychology.
May we share new ideas, speak of the unconscious and of the consciousness; all in all, may we sew a precious lace made of knowledge and generosity, avoiding unilateralism.
May we read and speak the mysteries of the human soul with gentleness, seriousness and humility, but with all the possibility of renewal and transformation. Our contemporary society, more in tune with self-knowledge, values and individual and collective rights, demands a better knowledge as the one offered and decanted by Jung and his successors.
Thus, the Self Journal will be open to the national and international community, to all who want to contribute and to walk the roads of the analytical psychology’s life; all in all, to people who live in this small-big blue world.
May everyone have the opportunity to speak of his Memories, Dreams and Reflections.
